한국, 세계 6위 수출대국 달성

한국이 작년에 전 세계적 경기둔화와 저유가에 따른 수출부진에도 세계 6위 수출대국으로 올라섰다.
18일 세계무역기구(WTO)에 따르면 작년에 한국의 수출액은 5천269억 달러로, 주요 71개국 중 처음으로 6위로 뛰어올랐다.
작년에 전 세계 주요 71개국의 수출액은 15조2천150억 달러로 전년 대비 10.96% 감소했다. 한국의 수출액도 전년(5천727억달러)에 비해 7.99% 줄었다.
전 세계적으로 수출이 감소했지만, 한국이 세계 수출에서 차지하는 비중은 3.35%에서 3.46%로 상대적으로 올라갔다.
한국의 세계 수출 순위는 글로벌 금융위기 당시인 2008년 12위에서 2009년 9위, 2010년 7위로 뛰어오른 뒤 5년 만에 또다시 한계단 올라서 7년만에 6계단 상승했다. 이 기간에 수출액도 2008년 4천220억 달러에 비해 1천억 달러 넘게 늘어났다.

According to the World Trade Organization(WTO) on the 18th, exports of South Korea last year was $526.9 billion. For the first time, South Korea jumped to sixth among 71 major countries. Exports of the world's 71 major countries last year was $15 trillion 215 billion, decreased 10.96% compared to the previous year. Although worldwide exports decrease, the share of South Korea of the global exports went up from 3.35% to 3.46% relatively. South Korea's ranking of the world exports jumped up from 12th at the time of the global financial crisis in 2008 to 9th in 2009, and it jumped up to 7th in 2010. After that it was raised again six rankings in five years so it raised a total of six rankings in seven years. Exports also increased in this period more than US $100 billion compared to $422 billion in 2008.

작년 세계 최대 수출대국은 2조2천749억 달러 어치를 수출한 중국이 차지했다. 중국의 수출액은 전 세계적 경기둔화로 전년에 비해 2.8% 감소했지만, 세계 1위를 유지했다. 2001년에 세계무역기구(WTO)에 가입한 중국은 2009년 1조2천20억 달러 어치를 수출해 처음으로 세계 1위 수출대국으로 올라섰다. 당시 글로벌 금융위기의 직격탄을 맞았던 미국은 1조570억 달러 어치를 수출하는데 그쳐 독일에 이어 세계 3위로 떨어졌다. 중국의 작년 수출액은 한국 수출액의 4.3배에 달한다.
작년 세계 수출 2위는 1조5천49억 달러 상당을 수출한 미국이, 3위는 1조3천289억 달러를 수출한 독일이 각각 차지했다. 미국의 수출액은 전년대비 7.13%, 독일은 11.06% 각각 감소했다. 4위는 일본(6천251억 달러), 5위는 네덜란드(5천670억 달러)로 집계됐다. 일본의 수출액은 전년대비 9.44%, 네덜란드는 15.67% 급감했다. 일본은 2008년부터 작년까지 세계 4위 수출대국 지위를 유지했지만, 한국은 이 기간에 6계단 올라서 일본과의 격차를 불과 2계단으로 줄였다.

South Korea reduced the gap with Japan.

한국무역협회 국제무역연구원 문병기 수석연구원은 "세계 경기부진과 저유가로 수출단가가 하락하면서 전 세계적으로 수출이 감소했는데, 미국이나 유럽연합(EU), 일본에 비해 한국과 중국은 상대적으로 선전했다"고 평가했다.
LG경제연구원 강중구 수석연구위원은 "전 세계 각국의 수출이 전반적으로 안좋은 가운데 한국은 상대적으로 점유율이 올라가고 있는 상황"이라며 "중국의 과잉공급에 따른 수출단가 하락은 단기간에 그칠 문제가 아니기 때문에 올해 수출도 부진할 것"이라고 말했다.
