(KOR/ENG NEWS) '개리 동영상 유포' 공무원 징역 8월

 

가수 개리와 닮은 남성이 여성과 성행위를 하는 일명 '개리 동영상'을 처음 유포한 혐의 등으로 기소된 의사 출신 5급 공무원이 징역형을 선고받았다.

인천지법 형사 8단독 이연진 판사는 성폭력 범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법 위반 등의 혐의로 기소된 공무원 A(32)씨에 대해 징역 8월을 선고했다.

재판부는 또 A씨에게 80시간의 성폭력 치료프로그램 이수를 명령했다.

A씨는 2014년 초 인터넷 메신저 '네이트온'을 통해 성인 사이트 '소라넷'에서 알게 된 신원 미상의 남성 2명에게 '개리 동영상'을 최초 유포한 혐의 등으로 기소됐다. A씨는 지난해 5∼8월 동성애자용 성인사이트에 올라온 성매매 광고를 통해 알게 된 남성 11명과 성매매를 한 혐의도 받았다.

A씨는 이 과정에서 유사 성교를 하는 장면을 남성들의 동의 없이 캠코더로 몰래 촬영한 것으로 조사됐다.

의사 자격증이 있는 것으로 알려진 A씨는 특채로 임용된 5급 국가직 공무원으로 확인됐다.

재판부는 29일 "피고인은 여러 명의 남성과 성매매를 하면서 몰래 촬영까지 해 죄질이 매우 무겁다"며 "영상에 등장하는 인물의 인격권이 침해되는 등 피해가 커 엄벌이 필요하다"고 판단했다. 그러나 "아무 전력이 없는 초범으로 범행을 인정하고 반성하는 점 등을 고려했다"고 양형 이유를 밝혔다.

지난해 8월 온라인을 중심으로 유포된 '개리 동영상'에는 한 남녀 커플이 침대 위에서 성행위를 하는 장면이 담겼다.

당시 누리꾼들은 동영상 속 남성의 외모나 문신 등을 볼 때 힙합듀오 '리쌍'의 멤버인 개리와 비슷하다며 의문을 제기했지만 사실이 아닌 것으로 확인됐다.

개리의 소속사인 리쌍컴퍼니도 동영상 속 남성과 개리의 문신 모양이 비슷하지만 위치가 다른 점 등을 들어 개리가 동영상 속 인물이 아니라고 밝혔다.
